Arthur R DuHaime II

 

 

Arthur R DuHaimc II of IvyLand died Thursday day, April 18, 2002at Coatesville Veterans Hospital he was 81. He was the husband for 38 years to Anne T. Zella DuHaime. Born in Lyndhurst NJ, he was the son of the late Arthur R and Emma Rennahan DuHaime. HE had been a resident of  Ivyland since 1967?. Mr DuHaime was a  proud veteran of the U S. Navy. He wasa P.0.W in Japan for 3 1/2 years after the sinking of the USS Houston CA30 on March 1 1942 at Sunda Strait off the coast Java After his release he continued to serve our country and for many years was a photographer on various aircraft carriers. Mr DuHaime retired after 30 years of faithful service in 1969. He was then employed by the US. Government civil service in photography until 1987.

 

In his leisure time enjoyed photography, bowling and shuffleboard. He was a communicant

 of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church of Jerusalem and will be deeply missed by his family and longtime friends. In addition to his wife, he is Survived by his children and their spouses, Arthur R III and Patricia DuHaime of Barto, PA, David G. and Christine DuHaime of Chalfont. Raymond J., Siobhan DuHaime of Warminster and James A and Jamie DuHaime of Van Nuys Calif. He also is survived by his sister, Veronica Gilliam of Pittsburgh, and his six grandchildren Brandon, Emily, Carter, Arthur IV, Diana and Christopher. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, April 22 from 10-.30am. until his funeral Mass at noon in St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, Almshouse and Meetinghouse roads, Jamison. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the:
