WT2C John J. (Junior) Hogue, USN.  John's mother passed away when

he was still a toddler, so my grandparents raised him for about 8 years.

I've got a lot of pictures of him from when he was growing up.
The pictures of the USS Houston Christmas card are believed to be the

last communication John had with my grandparents, before John went down with the ship.

I've recounted a bit of John's life in my genealogy blog post: "Adopted Son: Junior Hogue".

John J. (Junior) Hogue is remembered at the Manila American Cemetery, Philippines.

In the Tablets of the Missing memorial.
